The Run For Gaza is a special running race taking place on Friday, February 16th at Wadi Degla Protectorate. Runners can select from a timed 5K race or the 1K Fun Run for young runners and their families.
All proceeds from the Run For Gaza will directly benefit the citizens of Gaza, providing urgent humanitarian aid during this trying time.

Run for Gaza takes place at Wadi Degla Protectorate near Maadi in Cairo. Both distances will begin and end right next to the entrance of the Protectorate, where participants will be able to park their cars and leave their belongings. The race will be organised in the lower portion of Wadi Degla, with runners taking on a relatively flat race course in the middle of the valley, with surfaces ranging from hard-packed dirt, sand, and gravel.
- Participants will be able to park at the entrance of the Protectorate. Carpooling is encouraged.
- Toilets are available at the Start & Finish Line.
- There is no baggage claim. Participants are encouraged to leave their belongings in their cars.
- Medical care at the Start & Finish Line and on the race course is provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent

Upon arrival in the morning, all runners will have to check in and present the following:

Upon arrival in the morning, all runners will have to check in and present the following:
- Valid Photo Identification (National ID card or passport)
- Email confirmation of their ticket purchase
Runners will then receive their Race Number.
Runners must complete the entire prescribed distance for their race by walking or running without any help. Only runners with a race number can enter the race course, and this applies to parents as well.
Runners of the 5K will be timed using the MyLaps Timing System and will receive their full ranking after they cross the finish line. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners in the 5K Race. The 1K Fun Run is untimed. All participants in the 1K Fun Run will receive participation medals.
Prize Money
The overall male and female winners in the 5K race will receive the following prize money
- 1st Place..........EGP 10,000
- 2nd Place.........EGP 7,000
- 3rd Place..........EGP 5,000
· 5K Race............EGP 400
· 1K Fun Run.....EGP 300
Ticket Terms & Conditions:
1. Payment of tickets can be made online (highly recommended for instant confirmations) or through cash deposits at CIB Bank.
2. The Final Registration Deadline will be on 10 February 2024.
3. Members can cancel their tickets before the Final Registration Deadline and receive the amount paid as credit in their electronic wallet. The credit can then be used to purchase a new ticket, either for any other event organised by The TriFactory. If a runner cancels their ticket following the Final Registration Deadline, they will not be eligible for a refund.
4. Tickets cannot be transferred/resold to other participants under any circumstances.
5. At the school premises, participants need to present a valid photo ID along with their email confirmation in order to receive their Race Number.
